” Koinobori ” 　 Flying Carp

According to Chinese legends, carp become dragons when they swim up rapid streams.

 So the carp is considered as a symbol of a successful career.

May 5th is a national holiday in Japan and called as Children’s Day.

Around this date, families with boys hoist koinobori, carp-shaped streamers outdoors to cerebrate the well-being of their children.
